Cancellation Policy
At IronBark DogPark, we strive to provide the highest level of care and service for your furry family members. To ensure fairness, transparency, and the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, please review our cancellation policies below. These cover standard bookings, severe weather events, community health concerns, and genuine emergencies.
1. Standard Cancellation Policy
- Daycare Services: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled booking to avoid fees.
- Pet Sit Services: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your scheduled drop-off date. During peak periods (Christmas, school holidays, or public holiday weekends), 2 weeks’ notice is required.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made outside these timeframes will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service fee.
- No-Show Policy: Failure to attend without prior notice will result in the full service fee being charged.
2. Severe Weather Cancellation Policy
The safety of our dogs, team, and property comes first. In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. flooding, severe heat, or road closures) that prevent us from running programs safely:
- Make-Up Days or Credits: We will offer a make-up day or credit towards a future booking where possible.
- Communication: Cancellations due to severe weather will be communicated promptly via email or text message.
3. Community Health Cancellation Policy
-
Illness in Humans or Dogs: If you or your dog show symptoms of illness (e.g., contagious diseases, respiratory infections, or gastrointestinal issues), please cancel as soon as possible.
- Cancellations due to illness made at least 24 hours in advance will not incur a fee.
-
Health-Related Cancellations by Us: If IronBark DogPark must cancel services due to a community health concern (e.g. canine flu outbreak or public health directive):
- Make-Up Days or Credits: We will offer a make-up day or credit towards a future booking where possible.
- We will work to reschedule sessions once it’s safe to resume operations.
4. Emergency Cancellations
-
We understand emergencies happen.
If you need to cancel at short notice due to an unforeseen circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll assess your situation on a case-by-case basis and do our best to find a fair solution.

For group transport runs or multi-dog families, please note:
- Cancellations apply per dog.
- If a cancellation impacts other scheduled pickups or our park capacity, the full fee may still apply.
